Patterns

Each pattern is a claim series with a written inclusion rule, a written outcome standard, and checkpoints. Every claim on a pattern page resolves to a sourced entry in the record.

  • Conflict resolution claims

Every public claim by the president, from January 20, 2025 onward, that a conflict between named parties has been resolved, is being resolved, or is about to be resolved. Four kinds of assertion are in scope and every entry records which one it is in its claim_category field: that a ceasefire was achieved, agreed, or is imminent; that a peace agreement was reached; that a deal is agreed or imminent; and that a war has ended. A claim enters the series once it is attributable to a dated post, transcript, or on-camera statement. Repeated claims about the same conflict are recorded as separate instances and are not merged into a single count, and claims of different kinds about the same conflict are never merged into one another.

    Checkpoints: 14d, 90d, current. Verified entries: 6.

  • Finance and disclosure

Every filing with the Office of Government Ethics covering the president's personal finances during term 47, every published estimate of net worth attributed to a named methodology, and every documented trading activity report. Filings enter the series on publication. Wealth estimates enter only with the estimating organization and its methodology named.

    Checkpoints: 14d, 90d, current. Verified entries: 1.

  • Litigation

Every case with a docket number in which the president is a party in his individual capacity, in which the administration is a party in its official capacity, or in which the president or one of his organizations is the plaintiff. The three groups are counted separately and are never merged into a single total. A case enters the series when a filing or a ruling is documented, and a district case together with its appeals is treated as one case.

    Checkpoints: 14d, 90d, current. Verified entries: 7.

  • Promises, 2016 campaign

Every promise made during the 2016 campaign that can be quoted from a dated source, and whose outcome can be established from the record of term 45. A promise enters the series only with the promise quote and its date, and is scored only against a documented action or documented absence of action by January 20, 2021.

    Checkpoints: term_end. Verified entries: 2.

  • Promises, 2024 campaign

Every promise in the 2024 Republican National Committee platform adopted July 8, 2024, and every promise stated in Agenda 47 or quotable from a dated campaign statement. A promise enters the series with its quote and date. Actions taken toward a promise enter as separate record entries and are cited from the promise row rather than merged into it.

    Checkpoints: 14d, 90d, current. Verified entries: 3.

  • Two weeks

Every documented statement by the president that a plan, decision, document, or action will come within two weeks, or within a period stated in weeks that includes two, whether made in term 45 or term 47. Each instance records the subject, the date, the source, and the status at 14 days. Instances are labeled by term. Statements of intent with no stated timeframe are excluded.

    Checkpoints: 14d, 90d, current. Verified entries: 15.

Scorecard tables and checkpoint results are not yet built. This page lists the series definitions that govern them.
